Process Applications Engineer (Req # 1270) - Boise, ID

Job Description

  • Project and process applications leader for SCREEN US Laser anneal business at customer site
  • Perform the duties of customer hands-on process and applications support for the SCREEN laser anneal tool
  • Coordinating internal projects and collaborations with the customer in include planning, executing, data collection and analyzing experiments to assist in tool process acceptance, and on-going development activity as required by the project
  • Model and simulate our unique thermal sequences to predict, understand and support the laser annealing process and drive successful integration into the customer’s process flow.
  • Support the integration of thermal products in customer manufacturing processes
  • Suggesting realistic process integration solutions, new product features and improvements
  • Supporting technical promotion for thermal products for potential new applications and markets
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of customer demonstration (demo) activities with our various application development labs in Japan and France.
  • Prepare regular status reports for SCREEN Technical and Management teams.

Desired Qualifications

  • Process development experience with thermal processes, ideally laser annealing preferred
  • Process integration experience of semiconductor manufacturing processes in microelectronic fabs or equipment vendors, ideally including annealing, implantation, epi and deposition processes would be preferred.
  • Well-versed in statistical methods (Design of Experiments, Response Surface Methodology, etc.) with experience using industry standard tool-kits (JMP, R, etc.) to support the efficient and effective planning, execution, and analysis of experiments.

Educational Requirements

MS or PhD, in physics, electrical engineering, or materials science, involved in projects relevant to the semiconductor industry.
